This project involved the construction of a lift shaft pit to new Premier Inn Hotel. The brief included construction of a new 4.15m x 3.15m x 1.3m high lift pit, however, with the project being on a critical path brickwork trades needed to follow on a tight program. This resulted in only 3 days allowed for erection\/casting & striking. Other methods of construction considered was traditional timber shuttering and panel systems. The attached costs are shown for skilled and unskilled labour.
